In the spirit of embracing 2018 with open arms, and a shiny new attitude, we couldn’t have been more delighted to be attending The Battle of the Regimes talk at Annabels in Berkeley Square. This was an opportunity to hear a modern-day perspective on health, from a hand-picked panel of pioneers who are currently blazing a trail in the beauty, fitness and nutrition arenas!
On 23rd January, the frosty bite in the cold air, couldn’t even curb our enthusiasm, EBWPR headed off to grab a front row seat for the presentation which was scheduled to start at 7pm. We arrived early to enjoy healthy teas at the bar (we suspect that isn’t usually the norm at Annabels) with leading Aesthetic Doctor, Maryam Zamani and founder of Wild Nutrition, Henrietta Norton. Shortly after, Dr Zamani and Henrietta took their places on the panel, where they were joined by personal training phenomenon, Matt Roberts and Mario Pederzolli, Bath & Racquets Club Director (who was to compere the evening).
Each panellist exchanged insight on their particular field with Mario, it was fascinating to hear from Henrietta on how nutrition changed her life, and inspired her to create a range of supplements that challenged and changed the vitamin industry for the better! Dr Zamani shared her philosophy for natural-looking beauty, and talked about the power of tweakments over drastic changes. Her approach empowers the individual, and marries solutions that are bespoke to their needs so they can be the best version of themselves. Matt spoke more scientifically than we have ever heard, when it comes to exercise and fitness, he reassuringly had us feeling way less guilty about choosing a banana for a bit of pre-exercise energy. We have been inspired to give one of his programs a whirl, his talk really illuminated the process and logic he applies.
A common theme amongst the panellists was the topic of stress! Each one acknowledged the impact that this condition has on our energy levels, mental balance, digestion and ageing. On the whole, the Experts affirmed that a 360 approach to healthy living is the way forward!
